I have posted before on this annoying warning light, which has stayed on most of the life of my 2005 RT, no matter what the oil level. I have gotten sage advice from many of you, and have ended up just ignoring it. Took the bike in this week for the factory warranty fix, which is now out there. Seems a new float on the sensor is all that is needed. Haven't seen the light on in 48 hours now, since I got the bike back from the dealer...it has been wonderful.
BTW, my experiences with the local dealer have been wonderful. Very courteously, they sat there with me and we searched the web site until we found the service bulletin, and they ordered and installed the parts immediately. Unlike what dealers everywhere are being accused of, they ordered several of these, anticipating the need to stock them for future repairs of other RTs in the area. Cudos.
