View Full Version : Camel
Surely I was not the only one to see the camel in the field on the west side of the road south of Burlington! Anybody get an interesting picture?

You were seeing things and I was too. Yes I saw the camel but by the time the WTF moment faded I was watching traffic and did not get a picture.

That would be at the farm along route 7, in Charlotte/Ferrisburg area. They have two camels I believe. Is strange to see them in the fields with the sheep and other animals.

And that big mountain to the east is Camels Hump.......so named because of the camels first seen in the area by early explorers................

That would be the rare, indigenous Wooly Camel, uniquely adapted to the Vermont climate (unless you don't believe in Evolution, in which case God simply put it there about 500 years ago so Adam & Eve would have something to ride to church). :stick

That would be in North Ferrisburgh in front of an old round barn. It's there all winter too.
So did anybody happen to notice the wooden moose standing under a tree by a pond just south of Shelbune? There's a carved wooden tourist taking a picture of it!
Then there are the whale tails on I-89.
