Aha, another one. Just 4 years for me, all of it at Offutt AFB. Kinda sad that SAC doesn't exist anymore. Love them BUFFs!

I thought so...

They were amazing machines. The last one I saw, I was at a clients' bar b cue, about 4 on a Saturday afternoon. I heard the thing when it was about 5 miles out, and it came thundering over us at about 10,000 feet, inbound for Calgary International. I excused myself early, and we drove right up to the Shell Avitat, where I knew it would be parked, just as the flight crew were coming in. Turned out it was an "H" model (I think), and the guys were more than happy to tell me all about it.

Sorry about dropping the "F"; I forgot the "fellow".
