No, that's ok, you have a pass to stay home...work on your attitude a bit.

The main reason to go is to meet the people and to see the bikes. For many of us it is the once a year we get to see each other. It is also a great chance to attend some pretty cool seminars.

There's a fair number of Adv folks, so you'll get to see some friends. There's a ton of vendors, selling all kinds of stuff you didn't know you needed. There will probably be a decent GS ride laid out, as well as decent riding in the neighborhood. The local ride routes get put together by locals, so they're loops of locally known roads.

There'll be a bunch of good beer, fun music and folks you know. There'll be folks you don't know, but will meet and enjoy.

Yeah. It'll be all that stuff, man. And a bit more.

What're you doing over here? Good to see you.

While Brad and Dave described it pretty well, they also failed to capture just how FUN the rally is- and I know I'll fail to do so too. It's just a great atmosphere created by thousands of enthusiasts, a wonderful yet way-too-short-lived community that lives for the sole purpose of furthering the enjoyment of being part of the MOA family.
In my five years of membership I've only been to one International Rally, but I'm really hoping I won't miss any more of them.

Hi Tuber1, we had a great time in Vermont, it had been 25 years since my last visit, it was as beautiful as I remembered.

The people were very friendly, one elderly couple came up to us at a gas station and wanted to say hello, and that they hoped that we enjoyed our visit. They had seen some television coverage of the rally, and thought it was great. We were very pleased also, to see the guy on road 15 just west of the rally standing in the rain holding a sign up in support of the rally, as we were leaving on Sunday.

What would a rally be without rain, aside from odd?

Regards, Rod.

Well, Vermont for one. I don't ususally get there on a weekend ride, but this time I spent 9 days there! Friends, for one. We got to see friends we first met in Lima and hadn't seen since. Seminars, for one. There are some great seminars, and listening to Paul Glaves answer questions for an hour gives you an appreciation of the expertise he brings to his writing in the ON. Gee, I'm not sure what Wisconsin will offer, but it won't be much if I don't go!

Convince you? Just go mia piasan. You will not regret the decision.

I took my 13 year old son pillion and we are still talking about it days later.
Food, bikes, great rides(and riding buddies), tech and riding info, goodies, music (sorry guys, he was in the beer tent with me jamming to popa chubby...best stage name ever!)....FUN!

we can't wait another year.. we are off to the Finger Lakes Labor day weekend to get another fix.

1. I left a week early
2. almost got run off Mt. Washington by a moron
3. got talking into putting up hay in Maine in 90 degree heat
4. almost hit a moose
5. rode on some gravel roads past million $ farms
6. listened to my rear diff bearing give up the ghost
7. fell off the flatbed and almost broke my hip (wearing gear has it advantages)
8. watch the flatbed driver get a speeding ticket.
9. Checked in at the rally in my rental car.
10. watched Frank's fix my ride.
11. rode home in the rain
12. Stopped at Ben and Jerry's
Yep it was pretty boring.....

Check it out on the first day, put in your tickets to win something, check out the vendors, say hi to couple people, eat a little food, and beer, then take off after the beer wears off, and go enjoy the road, stop and see things.

And if ya want to have even more fun drink more beer. :bottle

The one rally I will hit year after year will be the Rockies, they did a great job, and the closing ceremonies was short and sweet, and they recognized everyone who played an important roll, or did something significant at the rally.

And tons of shade, and great rides to take during the rally, my hats off to them, very awsome area for a rally, great roads, just cant say enough about it.
