So you had to miss this one too, huh? I wanted to go but work got in the way. But next year, Wisconsin, and I will be there. Hope to see you there.

And I'm waiting for some photos to be posted too.

Have a good one.

Correct you are on the MKM. Didn't get to ride it, but did see it with it's bodywork off. He's got two sets, one with a single seat and one that's "biposto".

I first saw them in Cycle a bunch of years ago and it was way, way beyond anything I could even consider back then.

Forgot to mention the signs since they are too easily taken for granted.

The signs were of high quality and were most welcome finding your way around. Your work was most appreciated.

NYC is not that far away from Vermont or Northern New York. Come up and smell the flowers anytime.

Greg Eischeid was the signs chair and should be commended for a great job communicating and taking orders from all the other departments and mounting and hanging the signs, too. I designed over 65 signs for Greg and all the folks who needed them (half of which I'd designed from my offices in the month prior to the event), however we were learning to use the HP on the fly and it was a daunting task trying to get everything out for the first day (Thursday; which saw me sitting in front of 2 laptops for 8+hours). I rolled in Wednesday and sat right down, in my gear, and just started cranking.

Will definitely PM you about coming up to Ballston Spa and the Saratoga region (my Brother in Law works in the Thoroughbred industry and is up there for the next month!)!

BWS, if you want to see some REALLY cool carousel animals wait 'till next year's rally. West Bend looks on my map to be about 100 miles from Spring Green, where you can visit The House On The Rock- which has, among many other things on display, the world's largest carousel and a few smaller ones too. One interesting thing to note is that the largest one has many animals on it but not a single horse-head, not even on the horses!

World's largest:
http://www.sizenine.com/gallery/wisconsin/image053.jpg

No horse-head here, but talk about efficiency in battle!
http://www.sizenine.com/gallery/wisconsin/image054.jpg

Buddha seen in the smaller Doll Carousel:
http://www.sizenine.com/gallery/wisconsin/image060.jpg

The House On The Rock is very much worth seeing, especially if you have an appreciation for strange whimsical flights of the imagination- but wear good walking shoes and allow most of a day to see it.

Yep, that's my bike. Thanks for the compliment. I didn't spend much time by my tent, but I did see a lot of people stop to look at the bike.

The answers to the two most-asked questions are: it's a Krauser fairing, and it was painted by Shawn at Custom Paint Specialists in Des Moines, IA.

Ah ha! So that's your bike. I saw it at the Iowa Rally in June. Cool paint job!

My photos are here: http://www.mrob.smugmug.com/gallery/1728332. You'll have to wade through photos to and from. I rode about 3300 miles.

Great pics, Q. I see that you were at the Kinzua Dam and Reservoir two days after I stopped there. That was one of those places where, as we zoomed by, I scrunched the brakes and thought, "Whoa, we gotta stop here!"
