What is the part number 11 00 1 341 616 repair kit listed on my 24m service bill?
I have looked at the online catalogues and can find the part for about $16 but no explanation for what it consists of. My guess is the collets on valve train and maybe gaskets? also 07 11 9 963 seal ring? I just did my first service at 35m and we took the time to really get the throttle bodies balanced and idle set to 1100 rpm. What a difference!!!! It really isn't any more difficult than my R75/6 that i wish I had back.

why don't they just call an oil filter and oil filter?

The repair kit is the filter and gaskets, O-rings, crush washers, etc needed for a full service. Handling the kit is easier for paperwork and isn't more expensive than buying the individual parts. In your case it was five crush washers and the filter.

In other words the crush washers for the transmission lube change were included in the repair kit? Makes sense, since the shop that charged me for one quart of transmission oil and the crush washers also charged me for the repair kit at the 24m service, and didn't change the transmission oil as it still contained the red line oil that was put in at the 18m service at another dealer.
