Help Needed for Cell Phone Port on BC2 system

I got the cell phone port to work on the BC2 system. I have a 2002 K1200LTE. I have an issue with a humming noise. The person on the other phone says there is a loud humming noise. Any ideas what could be causing this?

Cell phones appear to be nothing but 2-way radio's and as radio's are prone to picking up ignition noise, either altnator hum or even the fireing of the spark plugs.. This was a major problem with cb radio's durring their early years; until the mfgs managed to filter it out. I was having the same problem with cell on my boat; finally had to route it away from all ignition sources to a isolated battery. There are filters (Radio Shack etc.) that will supposedly correct the problem, but I didn't find one that would completely elimate. Worth a try??

Here is an update.

Bike running or not, comm system on or off, ignition on or off, the caller hears buzzing sound on the phone. The sound appears once I plug the 2.5mm jack into the cell port on the comm system.

This makes absolutely no sense to me.

Any thoughts?
