Anyone found a good custom seat for the ST? - No models on usual vendor sites.

Nope...been looking...the ST seat sucks IMHO.
I had a long conversation with Sargent Seats on the phone. They WILL do a custom seat for you. The trick to a custom rebuild is to be very, very, spefic on what you want. Do that by taking rolled up towels and duct tape and creating on your seat padding if you will, keep adjusting until you find what you want. Write it down, send the seat and about 500 bucks and your good to go.
Now for reality..I'm too damn cheap to spend 500 bucks on something I may not like ssssooooo....http://billmayersaddles.com/october25homepage.html
I've already talked to Bill. Awesome work, just have not had the time yet.
You could also get the foam here http://www.sunmatecushions.com/motorcyc.htm and find a local shop to redo the seat. That would cost you about 250$.
CeeBailey http://www.ceebaileys.com/cycle/ also does custom rewoks of seats, great stuff, they have done a couple of airplane seats for me and they are the best, however, spendy also.
The problem with the ST is that while its an awesome motorcycle ( love mine) the numbers are small, so its not really being well supported by the aftermarket. Also, rarley see used parts in IBMW, or BMWON. I really want to find a used seat so I can have one to ride on while the other seat is being worked, my ST IS my transportation.
The way around that is to schedule a ride up session with Bill Mayer. He builds the seat while you are there, measures your butt, cuts it, you sit, you like, its covered. Thats in CA and I'm in AZ, and Its tuff to get away for a couple of days.
Sorry for such a long answer to a short question, you in Arizona? I only know of one other ST in AZ in Showlow. I know there out there just have not run into them.

Hi Roger,
Thanks for the info. I've checked the sites for Mayer and Cee Bailey and as you found, it would need to be custom.
Yes, I'm in Tucson. And, talking with the guys at Iron Horse, doesn't seem like BMW is likely to import any more ST (at least R1200) for the next couple of years. So, on the one hand, we have bikes which may be collectable, but don't have much in the way of accessories.
Love mine too. I think it's a great bike. Engine, suspension and tranny all work great and it's light. Have a '82 R100RS I bought new, can't seem to part with it. Bought a R1150RT which I traded in on the ST. I think the ST is much better for sport touring.
Don't know if you want a throttle stop, but I found that Throttlemeister makes them for the ST. You probably won't find them in any store but you can call your order into them. Called mine in on a Friday and received it on Monday. Had one on the RT and I think they work great.
Thanks again for responding.

According to a post on bmwwsporttouring.com, BMW will have '07 ST's available for N. AM. dealer order in August. WOOO, HOOO! I have not personally confirmed this, however.

I find the stock ST seat to be quite comfortable. But then again, I have never put a Corbin or dead-sheep under my a$$, so maybe I'm just used to the pain. Kind of like drinking cheap whisky; you don't realize how bad it tastes until you drink the good stuff! :bottle
No real help here, I guess. Just my 2-cent commentary. :bolt

Received note from Russell Daylong saddles saying they make a seat for the ST, just not posted in their ad. Also said they were booked solid until some time in August.
