I read that as well (that site is one of my daily stops before the caffeine kicks in). I get a bit giddy when I imagine a sporting BMW made with the full support of their car division's experience. ooohhh....aaahhh....

I thought I'd save my neanderthal for less urbane surroundings. :D
For diaz, for his avatar, he should stick to what he knows...

So, here I was going to post a reply about how BMW should get itself back in the Pariks Dakar and not worry about F1. Or, perhaps how they should follow through with the Mini making an all wheel driver version for rally racing instead of F1. Now I see the thread is hijacked and my avatar is not nearly of the quality required for posting......
I gotta take some photoshop classes.

No you don't. :D
Let's talk about that other stuff. I'd love to see an AWD Mini. I was wondering what they're going to do to follow up the current Mini when I saw one yesterday. I mean, you can only sell one car for so long, you know? The convertible is coming next year, but then what?

Hey Sam,hijacking threads is why I am in Campfire, and I think your avatar is fine.
If you want to see a fine avatar,go to the Canadian Rider forum and look for posts by eelfliw.
Welcome to this joyour insanity.

There are a few tips and tricks sprinkled about on how to do the avatars. I used PaintShop Pro and just size it to 60x60, or whatever the rule says...
If you want to get really high tech PaintShop will also do animated avatars...
I think after I am done highjacking this thread I need to update mine to include more motorcycles....
So how about those White Sox?

I think next year (2005 models) BMW is going to bring the 1 series and the X3 to the USA. The 1 series is going to have a convertible too. It seems kind of strange to bring a vehicle to the United States that directly competes against other models in the line (Mini v. 1 series).
I've been looking at the Mini as a possible winter driver car, but it would seem to be a shame to subject a car like that to salt.
