About a week ago my bike has started marking its territory by placing a small quater sized spot of gear oil underneath it. Its leaking at the right in front of the center stand where there is a seam (between engine and transmission). Its gear oil by the smell.

I already have an Idea who to blame, for looking at it.
Any clues?
Mark

The clutch is between the transmission and engine...

I had a gear oil leak. I replaced the clutch control rubber boot.

Transmission input seal. Looks like you are going to get to do that spline lube you wanted to do this year, Mark.

It's the begining of the end Mark, get a new bike while you still have a chance. :bolt

The problem is, he uttered those magic words the other day:

I still like it

Yeah, I used to say that too about mine. Hamburger seems like really good beef until you get a porterhouse. ;)

I had to reseal the front trans cover on my K75 when it started doing that.

That was the indicator that it was time for that bike to leave me.

Oh brother, its not the end of the world. Pull the driveline back as a unit, change the seal on the trans, put in a new clutch plate and the o-ring on the clutch basket, and that bike is ready for another 12 years of use.

That's like euthanizing a child for having a cavity.

Ya know, I think it was that and having to fix the speedo for like the 5th time. That's what finally put me over the edge. :ha

That sounds expensive,
I better buy a GSPD as a spare to save money, and tackle that project this winter.

besides leaking oil is it ok to ride?
