I just picked up a 2002 R1150R and I love it except for the seat. It is too squishy and the material moves when I slide to the side.. I want a firm solo seat and a rear deck. What do you think would work. My other ride a MG 78 LeMons ahs a corbin and I like the firmness of that one. So does anyone make a solo for the bmw similar to that feel?
Thanks I will have other questions as the miles rack up.

I am real happy with my Sargent. Little known fact one can keep an Anonymous book in the tube under the passenger seat :wow
Just took the Corbin off the VFR went back to stock. My nether regions are much happier. :D

If it is an OEM BMW seat, you may have the "tall seat," which does have added foam in it. I've never heard squishy as a description for the standard seat, which is usually criticised as being too hard.

'02 R1150R (standard seat - no problem)
PS Look at the Wunderlich website. They have a low seat that's reputed to have very little padding.

I spent a little time going back and forthe with color swatches, but I think the result is worth it:

More comfortable for me, and especially for my wife!

Thanks everyone. I ordered a Sargent without the welt and in leather. I'll see how it works, always used Corbin but they don't make a solo.

We seem to be unanimous on the Sargent. I use one, too. Very nice seat.
