After trying a cheap intercom, I wound up purchasing an Auotcom and I'm very happy with the performance. So instead of going through 9 volt batteries like they were dark chocalate I'd like to mount the unit somewhere on the GS and be able to remove it easliy in case we take the K bike, but that would be rare two up.
So where's a good place to mount and what is the best wire to tap into for power? I do have ABS. I run and Ipod and cell from the unit.
Thanks, Andy

I created my own powered tank bag for the autocom, gps, and V1. All of this is in a 6x9x3 inch zipper bag from Sports Authority that sits on the bottom of my tank bag. I ran a wire from the power outlet on the bike, up to the front of the tank and have an SAE connector on it for connecting to a lead from the tank bag. It can all be removed in about 15 secs. I don't have another bike, but this would transfer well. I'm thinking that a small Pelican box may work better than the zipper bag and be much more weather proof.
Pre-Autocom install, the power bag looks like this: (the autocom now sits bottom center were the wire bundle is, and the cigar lighter is gone. The Autocom is connected to cell phone, XM Radio, and Kenwood FreeTalk (bike to bike).

Pretty cool. Now that I have two bikes I might have to look at doing something like that.
