I now have 48,000 miles on my '03 R1150R. I haven't noticed it since the bike was fairly new, but every now and then I get smoke out the exhaust at start-up.
About a week ago I rode it home (about 20 miles) and parked it at the top of the drive, waiting on a buddy to come over to work on his bike. Just before he left we walked up the drive and started mine. It blew smoke for a second or two then and I attributed it to being on the side-stand after a hot ride.
Then this afternoon I pulled the can and started it up to hear how it sounds and again it blew the smoke. This time it was cold and had been on the center stand since Saturday night.
It clears up after a couple of seconds, but this worries me. Any wrenches out there can give me some thoughts on this? :(
