I took the fuel tank off my bike to replace the fuel lines, and I think I reconnected them in reverse order. The bike started, but grudingly. I switched the lines and it started and idled just fine. I refilled the tank and now the bike idles very rough. Also, at start up, the whirring noise from the level gauge is a higher pitch, and seems to stop qicker than normal. Did I hurt anything by reversing flow?

Probably not. Just make sure the upper line from the tank is connected to the upper line in the fuel distributor, and that you haven't dislodged the throttle cable from the right-side throttle body.

Thanks for the reply. Everything was fine. I guess a little condensation formed in the tank over night. Added new fuel and the sputtering stopped.

Reverse fuel lines... What an idea... Will that reduce gas consumption?

Even better, it adds fuel to your tank as you ride...hehehehe
