Below is a quote from our DFW club president which came this week.
John Dowds lost his long and difficult battle with cancer on Wednesday night. We lost a great friend, fellow member and BMW rider, and guiding light for our club.

John was our current and long standing BMWMOA liaison for the BMWDFW. I’m not sure of our entire club history, but he probably served most if not all of the club officer positions with this club. He was a very active member! John was also a director of the BMWMOA for five years and attended all but a few of the MOA international rallies. We’re still gathering history and information about his memorial service that we’ll pass along through our newsletter, website, and by email. John is survived by two sons, Carl and Paul, his former wife, Jean, and a vast host of friends.
