I have a 96 1100 R/T. When I put it away for winter all the fluids where changed and the bike was all covered up and tucked away inside.
Now I have been riding almost daily to work and have noticed that the heated grips are on "low" even though the switch is is the 'OFF' position. Is this something that has occured to anyone else and how can the switch be checked to verify that the switch is the problem.
Its a great feature to have he in the finger lakes reg. of NY. but now that the temp. is getting up there is just a little to much. Thanks in advance for any help or ideas.

Is it possible that there is a short in the switch? Perhaps whilst the fluids were changed some spill found it's way into the switch assembly? I am not sure that it would have dried or evaporated as it seems to sit around for ages on the floor without evaporating. If all else fails you could try pulling the fuse until you get it fixed...of course depending what else is on the same fuse on that model year.
