I did some more upgrades to Lil' Kim over the winter. Remember how she started out when I pulled her out of an Adams County barn?

Then I didn't like the geeky JC Whitney fairing and sissy bar so I E-bayed them and polished all the chome. No repainting necessary.

Over the winter.....
The riding position was too upright and hurt my back plus the windblast was a little overwhelming so over the winter I changed the bars to flatter "Eurobars".
I also added a Maier cafe fairing and bar-end mirrors. Yes I saved the OEM lollypops for some H*nda collector should I ever sell the bike.
When I was changing fluids I noticed that the velocity stacks(??) that connected the airbox to the cars had cracked and rotted. These are unobtainium parts except from England.
I just finished installing K&N pod air filters and had to take the carbs out to upsize the jets two sizes (thanks to the FAQ's and threads on SOHC4.us).
The front suspension was soft so I changed the fork oil and they're much stiffer now. The bikes handling is much more sporting now and less jittery under hard cornering.
I replaced the 28 year-old headlamp with a more modern halogen one for better visibility.
She really runs like the wind now. Starts cold with two kicks and one when warm. I did "the ton" on it yesterday on the way to work. The Cortech Tourmaster saddlebags from the wife's wrecked Y*m*ha look right at home on her and are great for carrying my lunch and rain gear to work.
Whatddya you guys think?
