So I have been googling trying to find any information on shocks that will fit the /6, and all that I can find is IKON, which are frankly a little to rich for me, but my current shocks are way past abused to death. One is bent, neither have any oil left in them and they both sag under my weight to about 3/4" of travel.
Anyone have a suggestion for rear shocks that will not kill my bank account.

"Works" used to make a set and probably still do for the older Beemers. They are in S.California and advertise in BMWON, or used to. "Performance" makes a set, too. My last set on my R100/7 came from "Koni", but they are no longer in the business. "Ohlin" may make them also, but probably too pricey.

I've got IKON's on both of my R100's, and am very satisfied. IKON is a "rebirth" so to speak of KONI. Note the anagram.
So, that said, how about Hagon? I haven't tried them myself, but have a friend that has them on a R90/6, and he's quite happy with them.
Here's one place I found that sells them (there may be others):

Good shocks are going to cost a bit, plus most of them are rebuildable. Good Luck! :wave

I think Hagon is today's "cheapo" brand ... i.e. price leader.

Thanks for all the info. I think that as badly as I abuse this poor bike, and since a rebuilt tranny (anyone?) is in order soon, along with front springs and brakes, I am going to give the Hagon brnad a try. Thanks again for all the info.
