Welcome to the Darkside. I'm pretty sure the BMW hardbags are the only ones available as I haven't seen a single K12RS outfitted with GIVI's. You will miss the storage space you had in your airhead, but deep lids are available for the OEM's. You can get a GIVI rear rack and tail trunk.
There are a couple of K12 specific forums:

I'm on my second K12RS... never considered anything other than the BMW bags for the saddle bags. I did have a Givi top case on my 1st K12. I liked it and will probably replace it shortly if I end up with the job that has me commuting a significant distance wearing a suit. This way I can lay out the suit jacket and protect it.

I had a set of Givis -- top case plus hard saddlebags -- that I held on to when I sold my 81 Suzuki GS850 last year. My "new" bike, a 92 K75RT, came with BMW hard bags. I figured I'd try them, and sell whichever I didn't want to keep.
After about a week, I couldn't wait to get the BMW bags off and put the Givis on. The stock saddlebags couldn't hold my laptop case, and the 22L topbox couldn't hold my suit when I got off the bike; it took a geat deal of fussing to get the bags on and off -- it just wasn't what I was used to.
Of course, when I called Givi asking for the mounting kit, they said there wasn't one that could put saddlebags on a K75, only one for the top box.
So I went back to the pile of intestingly shaped pieces of metal they call a "universal" mounting kit, the same stuff that held the bags on my old Suzuki. Took about two hours to get it close, will probably need another adjustment or two to get it perfect (right now, I can't have the saddle hinged open all the way to the right, it hits the mouting bracket), but I really am pleased with the results.
Fair warning, tho: the stock bags fit much closer to the bike's midline than the Givis do. I won't be splitting any lanes with this gear.
Upshot: even if "they" tell to that Givi bags won't work, they might.
