Join us September 16-17 for the North Idaho/Coeur d'Alene Getaway. We will gather at Templin's Red Lion Hotel situated on the banks of the Spokane River - just 10 minutes from Lake Coeur d'Alene. This picturesque location hosts abundant riding with routes as varied as the area. The lakefront resort offers five-star amenities in a beautifully rugged setting, where comfortable luxury meets outdoor adventure and guests enjoy premium accommodations and plush amenities in a beautifully scenic location. The hotel offers a convenient location near some of the area's most popular attractions, dining, entertainment and more.

The event fee is $89; the hotel rate is $109 per night and includes two breakfasts per room. Event fee includes Friday and Saturday night dinners, event tee shirt, goodie bag and door prize ticket.

Attendees can choose to ride in three states during this Getaway: Idaho, Montana and Washington. Discover the lakes of north Idaho, the peaks of the Bitterroot Mountains and the plains of the Palouse during your weekend.

From the top of Steptoe Butte, riders are treated to a 360-degree view of Washington's rolling wheat fields. A ride up to Thompson Pass will take you into Thompson Falls, Montana, where you can stop for lunch and visit the scenic falls.

More great riding is plentiful and close with the Coeur D’Alene National Forest nearby. Ideally situated amongst mountains and picturesque views of the Spokane River, our setting provides an abundance of opportunities for things to do, including some of the area's most desirable theme attractions. The Coeur d’Alene National Forest will not disappoint. Hundreds of miles of forest service roads and single track trails are just minutes away from the host hotel.  A special permit may be required but can be obtained locally. You can even satisfy your appetite for racing at the track formerly owned by the parents of NASCAR driver Chad Little.

Come early or stay late and enjoy more of what the Coeur d’Alene area has to offer. Parasail or paddle board across the lake, or take one of the dinner cruises up to the mouth of the St. Joe River. Numerous art galleries, specialty shops, restaurants and brew pubs line Sherman Avenue. Catch a thrill on one of many roller coasters or beat the summer heat at Silverwood’s Theme Park and Boulder Beach Water Park.

Non-riding things to see and do in the area:

  • Take a 90 minute cruise of Lake Coeur d'Alene
  • Visit the Farmers Market
  • Stroll the board walk at the Cd'A marina
  • Rent paddle boards on the lake
