For 40 years BMW and other motorcycle enthusiasts from Texas to Canada have been attending the Square Route Rally in the Maryland foothills. The SRR is a staple, early summer rally known for fun filled riding, seminars, tech sessions & camaraderie – not to mention some of the best door prizes any rally can offer!

The location offers some of the best sport-touring riding in the Mid-Atlantic with a healthy combination of well-maintained paved roads and mild to challenging dual sport routes through the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Attendee’s favorite touring rides wind through historic Civil War sites such as Antietam, South Mountain, Harpers Ferry, and Gettysburg – ride sheets and guided rides offered. For those looking to enjoy nature, the Appalachian Trail is 0.5 miles from the rally site. Need some farkles, break something? Three notable BMW motorcycle dealerships service the area and contribute to the rally.

The Square Route Rally is known for great events and campfire shenanigans! Registration includes 2 nights of camping, Friday evening chili, Saturday dinner, continuous coffee, communal campfire, scads of door prizes including multiple grand prizes (preregistration provides an extra chance for a grand prize), rally mug, and entertainment on Friday & Saturday evenings. Breakfast & lunch available on-site or nearby at several restaurants. The SRR features large bathhouses with private showers. Wooded campsites are available for tent camping or take advantage of 60 first-come/first-serve bunkhouse beds in cabins; motels are in nearby Thurmont, Hagerstown, or Frederick.

A great deal of additional, updated information and registration forms are available on the club’s website bmwbmw.org or contact Kurtis Minder.
