Because he is holding the first $20 in dues paid for a membership in the Shawnee Area Riders Association (SARA) BMW MOA Chartered Club # 618. The organization meeting was held at Grass Roots BMW, Cape Girardeau, MO at the invitation of the owners, Herb and Reno Anderson.They provided lunch, dessert and meeting space. Their involvement in sponsoring club activities is good for both parties.
28 individuals showed up with an interest in approving by-laws, electing temporary (they think) officers and discussing re-activating the Trail of Tears rally that had been hosted by the Jugs and Shafts club for a quarter of a century. A tentative location of Thebes, Illinois was discussed as well as a date in the fall. Keep your eyes open for an announcement in the BMW MOA Owners News.This is a picture of the whole group.
