In the February, 2010 issue of the BMW MOA Owners News, I mistakenly identified a photo of riders wearing chicken hats as being members of the BMW Motorcycle Owners of Alabama. Well, it didn't take long for a member to let me know that I was wrong. You just don't mess with people wearing chicken hats!

Lisa Gillihan, a proud member of the BMW RAMS provided the correct information to me in an e-mail, part of which is quoted below.

The people pictured in the picture are from the BMW RAMS ( Riders of the Mid-South) receiving the award for the largest club in attendance of the Great Chicken Rally IN Rocket City. We have a friendly rivalry going with the Alabama Club, for this award every year at our respective Rallies. These pictures are of the Alabama club in their "Super Hero" garb at the RAMS  "Return to Shiloh - Best Rally by a DAM SITE" held  the first weekend in October at Pickwick Tennessee below the Dam. In answer to your question "Are you having fun yet?" OH YEA!!!!!!!

In addition to the "Super Hero" pictures, Lisa sent pictures from previous years. This picture shows the BMW Motorcycle Owners of Alabama dressed as swashbucklers when they attended a Return to Shiloh - Best Rally by a DAM SITE rally.

Are We Having Fun Yet?  Looks to me like both Chartered Clubs know how to have fun together.
