When can I buy Superstakes tickets?

Tickets are available for purchase between February 1, 2010 and April 30, 2010.  Any orders for membership or Superstakes tickets must be RECEIVED by these dates.  (not postmarked!)


How do I get a Superstakes ticket?

Tickets can be purchased on the website at www.bmwmoa.org/superstakes or by calling 636-394-7277.  Order blanks will also be available through the BMW Owners News with a return mailing address.

 

Do I get a ticket automatically with my new membership or renewal?

No.  You must request a Superstakes ticket by purchasing through the Superstakes page, on the official order blank or by calling the BMW MOA office at 636-394-7277. 

 

Are you going to send me an actual ticket?

Yes.  Your ticket stub or a copy will be mailed to you or included with your new member registration materials or renewal materials.

 

I am a lifetime member.  How do I get a free ticket?

Unfortunately, you cannot receive a free ticket as a lifetime member, but you can purchase tickets for $10 each.

 

How many tickets can I purchase?

You may purchase as many tickets as you like, although ticket sales are limited to 10,000 tickets.

 

I want to buy a 5 year membership.  Do I get 5 Superstakes tickets?

No, your membership renewal entitles you to 1 free ticket per new membership or renewal.

 

I want to join as an Associate member.  Do I get a free ticket with my membership?

Yes.  Associate members that join or renew will receive a free Superstakes ticket provided the membership is purchased through the official order process as described above.  Associate Members must meet the Associate Member guidelines specified by the BMW MOA and are subject to verification.

 

I just joined in January, 2010.  Are you going to send me a free ticket?

No.  Your membership must be purchased or renewed between February 1 and April 30, 2010 to receive a free ticket.  However, you can purchase tickets for $10 each.

 

I renewed my membership for 3 (or 5) years last year.  Do I get a free ticket?

No, your renewal purchase must occur between February 1 and April 30, 2010 However, you can purchase a ticket for $10.

 

I just renewed my membership last month.  How can I get a free ticket?

You can renew or extend your membership at anytime between February 1, 2010 and April 30, 2010 and receive a free Superstakes ticket.  Your membership expiration date will be extended 1, 3 or 5 years beyond your current expiration depending on the level of membership you purchase.

 

My membership doesn't expire until June 30th, 2010.  How do I get a free ticket?

Your membership can be renewed now and the additional time will be added to your current expiration date.  For example, if you purchase a 1 year renewal, your new expiration date will be June 30th, 2011 and you will receive a free Superstakes ticket. 

 

I purchased a Superstakes ticket and I have not received anything in return.  How can I check on my purchase?

Please allow 10-14 days to process your order.  If you have not received confirmation in that time frame OR the closing date is approaching, please call the BMW MOA office at 636-394-7277 and the BMW MOA staff will be glad to assist you.

 

 I mailed my normal renewal notice that I received with the BMW Owners News.  Will I receive a free ticket? 

No, you must order the ticket or membership through one of the approved methods stated above.

 

Can I sell my ticket to someone else?

No.  The tickets are not transferrable.

 

How much are the tickets?

Single tickets are $10 each or free with a new membership or renewal of an existing membership.

 

My neighbor got a ticket numbered lower that mine and I mailed mine in two weeks before him?

The ticket numbers are non sequential and of no importance other than as an identifier for the winning ticket.  All tickets have an equal chance of winning.

 

Can I get three tickets for the price of two or a discount on multiple tickets?

Tickets are $10 each and there are no discounts for multiple tickets, however, you can purchase as many tickets as you like until it is sold out.

 

Why is the program limited to 10,000 tickets?

Superstakes tickets are limited to the first 10,000 to improve the odds of winning.

 

All the tickets are sold out.  How can I get a Superstakes ticket?

Stay tuned for the Superstakes in 2011.

 

Prizes

When is the drawing?

The drawing for prizes will be May 5th, 2010 at the BMW MOA office in Ellisville, MO.

 

Do I have to be present to win?

No, the winner will be contacted by phone, email or registered mail within 14 days of the drawing.

 

If I win the motorcycle, are you going to ship it to me?

No, the winner is responsible for all delivery costs and arrangements. 

 

Will the BMW MOA pay my way to Miller Motorpsorts Park to pick up the motorcycle?

No. The Superstakes Grand Prize includes VIP access for 4 to the race, but transportation to and from Miller Motorsports Park as well as lodging at the event is the winner's responsibility.

 

Is the first service (or any service) included as part of the prize for the motorcycle?

No.  Maintenance costs will be the responsibility of the winner.

 

I don't live in the United States.  Will the winning motorcycle be legal in my country?

The 2010 S1000RR will be a US specification bike.  You should check with your local governing body to determine if that model can be imported into your country.

 

I can't import a US Specification motorcycle into my country.  Are you going to buy me a motorcycle that meets my country requirements?

No.  The grand prize S1000RR is a US specification motorcycle. 

 

I don't want the motorcycle or any of the other prizes.  Is there a cash option?

No, but it would be nice if you donated your prize to a worthy charity such as the BMW MOA Foundation.

I won the trip to Europe but I don't want to go.  Can I have something else?

No, the prize you won is yours to keep.  If you would like to give that to someone else, that is your right.

 

I don't like the paint scheme on the bike.  I want it in some other color.

Unfortunately, the prize package is a specific motorcycle and the color cannot be changed.

 

 What dates are the Keith Code Superbike School admissions valid for?

The winner of the Keith Code Superbike School admission will be allowed to choose from any open date, space permitting. 

 

Taxes

Am I going to pay taxes on the prize?

Yes, any federal, state and local taxes are the responsibility of the winner.

 

How much are the taxes on the prize?

Taxes depend on the prize won and your geographical location.  You should contact a local tax professional for a specific amount of your tax liability.

 

Are you sending tax forms at the end of the year?

Yes, you will receive the appropriate tax forms.

 

Other

Why was the program announced before we could buy tickets?

The program was announced at the end of December to give advance notice to those who planned to renew during the January time frame and allow an opportunity to renew and earn a free ticket.

 

I just got my renewal for May 10th. Why didn't you tell me about the free ticket sooner?

The program was announced online and in the Owners News in late December, 2009.
