Located on a must-ride highway in Alaska... with great views of the Alaska Range. Good river for fishing... great if you want to hike a bit. Be prepared for bears and other wildlife... this is the real deal.

Upper Skilak Campground

On the Sterling Highway, Kenai Peninsula, 907-262-7021. At milepost 8 on Skilak Road. Lakeside camping, not quite as remote as the Denali Highway.
