Husqvarna 2012 Enduro Models Unveiled
The timing for Husqvarna to unveil its new 2012 enduro range couldn't have been better. As the 2011 Enduro World Championship season moves into its second half, the Husqvarna CH Racing Monster Energy factory team is flying high, with Juha Salminen comfortably leading the Enduro 1 World Championship after the first five rounds, followed by his team-mate Matti Seistola in joint second place. Both riders are racing the Husqvarna TE250, which has won nine of the 10 GP days so far, proving that it's the best E1 class bike without any doubts. In the E2 class, Husqvarna is currently also at the top of this category of the Enduro World Championship, with Antoine Meo enjoying a 49 point lead in front of his nearest rival on his factory TE310.
Not a bad time then, to launch the 2012 range of Husqvarna models, which are derived from the successful racing experience of the factory Husqvarna team. All models (TE250, TE310, TE449, TE511, WR125, WR250 and WR300) have a new look with new graphics, new black chassis and new silver wheels. The 2012 TE250/ TE310 four-stroke models also have a Kayaba rear shock, a LeoVince racing exhaust pipe and an updated frame.
In particular, Husqvarna engineers have worked on all models to make the bikes easier to ride, improving handling and engine response at low engine revs - all important factors for aspiring enduro riders and racers, according to Martino Bianchi, PR and Racing Activities Coordinator for Husqvarna:
"Husqvarna is dominating the WEC E1 class in 2011, with Juha and Matti, so it is an exciting time for us to launch the 2012 models," he said. "The TE250 was last year's world-championship winning machine with Antoine Meo, and the customer version is known to be easy to ride, with great handling and outstanding enduro ergonomics."
Having conquered the E1 class in 2010, Antoine is now on top in the E2 class on the TE310, with its top power-to-weight ratio. Alex Salvini competes in the E3 class on a TE511, while the TE449 can be found in a variety of race series and disciplines all over the world, from European Cross Country Championships to extreme enduro events such as Hell's Gate, The Tough One and the forthcoming Erzberg Rodeo.
The new Husqvarna two-stroke WR125/250/300 and four-stroke TE250/310/449/511 models will be available at authorized dealers from July onwards.
