BMW Motorrad Motorsport has celebrated its first win in the Superbike World Championship. Works rider Marco Melandri triumphed in the team's 88th race, crossing the line at Donington Park circuit in the UK ahead of team-mate Leon Haslam, who completed the historic 'one-two' for BMW.

For those of us who think that a 650cc motorcycle is small, prepare to be enlightened. When Husqvarna invited the BMW Owners News to test one of their new 2102 models, they probably had the TE449 in mind, the bike with BMW's motor from the G450X wrapped in bright red Husqvarna plastic.

While everyone's talking about the C 600 Sport and C 650 GT Maxi-Scooters from BMW Motorrad, spare a thought for the R 10 prototype scooter of the early 1950s, which came so close to making it into serial production before the plug was pulled on the project by the Board in favor of the BMW Isetta car.
